Stop the Sanctions\Wars, Coup d’etat, so that ordinary people can live in Peace within their own country. Are people being punished through Sanctions\Wars for a Nicolas Maduro government, they have elected by popular vote?

“In their pursuit of Maduro’s ouster, the United States and its allies have continued their onslaught against Venezeula’s economy, such as seizing its oil assets on U.S. soil, including Citgo and its more than 5,000 branded service stations. Meanwhile, the Bank of England is refusing to allow Caracas access to its gold deposits.”

“According to de Zayas, these moves are “violations of fundamental principles of international law” meant to force a change in government by making Venezuelans suffer.”

“His observations have also been echoed by others including Idriss Jazairy, the United Nation’s current special rapporteur on unilateral coercive measures, who calls the sanctions being employed against Venezuela “a very blunt tool to achieve the proclaimed objective.””

“U.S. officials aren’t exactly working to dispel this characterization, with Secretary of State Mike Pompeo characterizing newly announced sanctions a “tightening of the noose.””
“For de Zayas, the “aid” promoted by Washington can’t be seen as sincere or legitimate, and won’t be accepted by Venezuelans. “If you are the tormentor today, you can’t become the savior tomorrow,” he says. “It doesn’t make any sense.”

The Vienna Convention on Consular Relations, of which the United States is a signatory to that treaty, states very clearly under Article 22 the following: “The premises of a diplomatic mission, such as an embassy, are inviolable and must not be entered by the host country except by permission of the head of the mission [Code Pink activists have that permission]. Furthermore, the host country must protect the mission from intrusion or damage [like Guaido supporters trying to break down doors to gain entry and terrorizing the occupants]. The host country must never search the premises, nor seize its documents or property. Article 30 extends this provision to the private residence of the diplomats”.

Now in reference to the female Secret Service officer who purportedly declared that “we are the law” and refused to acknowledge a letter from the ACLU which cited the law regarding the rights of the legally invited current occupants of the Venezuelan Embassy, I have this to say: No ma’am, you and your Secret Service brethren are NOT the law, nor do you get to make up the laws or to interpret the law to suit yourselves, nor are you obliged to follow illegal orders from your superiors. When you were sworn in, you took an oath to UPHOLD the law, and that law (by Treaty) requires nations hosting a foreign embassy to give full protection to that embassy from coercion, harassment or violence. So do your damn job by protecting the embassy and its occupants from those pro-Guaido thugs who choose violence and intimidation instead of peaceful protest. Like it or not, President Maduro is the legal, democratically elected leader of Venezuela. Therefore, all Venezuelan Embassies represent the sovereign state of Venezuela and its people under the leadership of President Nicolas Maduro and not the self-appointed usurper Mr. Guaido.

There is an obvious double standard going on here. The Guaido faction can be loud, aggressive, and obnoxious, but the people IN the Embassy, and those supporting them, are instantly criminalized. This is unacceptable.

To Prevent Peaceful Activists from delivering food and medicine into the Venezuelan Embassy, is an Act of War!

To Assault Tighe Barry & have Him Falsely Arrested on Assault Charges of a Secret Service Police Officer, is an Illegal Trump Act!

Question…Why is a Secret Service Police Officer, in front of the Venezuelan Embassy, as Their Job, is to Protect POTUS & No One Else?

The President of the USA is a lying con man; the Attorney General is his made man, a total ass-kissing lackey. And we should not be making problems at the Venezuela Embassy. We have trouble enough with an American President in thrall to Vladimir Putin of Russia.

The criminals are in the White House, and at the head of the Senate – GO LOCK THEM UP!
Mr. Barry was just trying to deliver food and medicine to the Embassy.

Stop aiding the Trump administration in their contrived coup attempt in Venezuela in their attempts to gain control of the natural resources of that country and install as leader, an un-elected puppet of the US government. It is obvious what happened here, in that Tighe Barry was pushed by a demonstrator into the officer. There was no intent to do harm and Mr. Barry should never have been arrested. The people are watching! I hope you make the right call in this case and drop these bogus charges!

The Secret Service has been disingenuous and biased with respect to the opposing interests at the Venezuelan embassy. When I asked an SS officer to escort me past persons blocking by entrance while my colleagues were saying “let him in” from the windows, the officer refused to do so and said their only role there was to prevent altercations. I found out later that was not true when a woman SS officer went beyond that call of duty by preventing the tossing of food up outside stars where no persons were positioned and therefore could not be hit by food. In other words, the officer clearly was trying to starve out persons who were legally in the embassy at the invitation of the owners. When I showed that officer a letter from the ACLU stating such, telling her “this is the law”, she replied “we are the law” and walked away, refusing to read the paper. The recent incident with Mr. Tighe Barry is an indication that, rather than preventing altercations, the SS is creating altercations. The police should have been between the opposing factions, rather than be where one faction could push the other faction into an officer, thereupon create the conditions for a false arrest. I demand immediate release and no booking of Mr. Barry.

Peace activists are trying to stop the murderous US sanctions & war machine that’s escalating towards Venezuela. I have seen personally how verbally abusive -even violent- many pro-Guiado supporters have been towards them (or anyone, like myself, who dares criticize what we see, as US immoral interventions) Pro-Guaido supporters have aggressively surrounded the DC Vz Embassy, because they’ve been prevented from illegally taking it over by peace activists who got officially permission to live there at this critical time. Yet how alarming its been to see pro-Guaido protesters allowed to retaliate in mob-like, hateful behaviors- assaulting & obstructing anyone who tries to deliver food to those within. Pro-Guiado supporters have vandalized & tried to break down the Embassy door, used intimidation, sent death threats, attempted to break in a number of peace activists’ homes. Please drop all charges against Tighe Barry, who didn’t to intend to fall on a Secret Service Man. It wasn’t assault. He was attempting to deliver food but was pushed by angry pro-Guaido protesters onto those nearby.

In situations like this, just once I would like to see the police on the side of justice—not bullying, warmongering, racism, greed, and profiteering. You don’t have to like Maduro to want to see a peaceful resolution to this problem. I wonder why, if he is a dictator, is Guido allowed to roam free while he’s trying to over through a democratically elected government? Are we trying to instigate a coup in Brazil where former president Lula, who was likely to be re-elected when he was thrown in jail on trumped up charges a judge who now serves as justice minister by far-right President Bolsonaro? No. And we should not be, even though Bolsonaro’s Lula is unjustly imprisoned for political reasons. And we should not be instigating a coup in Venezuela so as to plunder its oil—a goal admitted by National Security Advisor John Bolton: https://crooksandliars.com/2019/01/john-bolton-says-ultimate-goal-venezuela.
