Local Peace Economy Video/Social Media Internship

Are you interested in what it is possible to create in our world? Do you have a passion for community, connection, and creativity as a path to creating peace? Do you have a knack for communicating complex ideas through videos that inspire others?

CODEPINK’s  Local Peace Economy Project is seeking a part-time social-media-focused intern to work remotely with the Local Peace Economy Coordinator.  As part of our team, your goal will be to educate, inspire, and activate people around the world to take part in the movement for peace and justice. 


Desired Qualifications

  • A genuine interest in the Local Peace Economy or the desire to learn more
  • Good video-editing and social media skills.
  • Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
  • Familiarity with ongoing social media trends.
  • Proficiency in using major social media platforms, CapCut, Canva, Google Suite, and/or Buffer.
  • The ability to work remotely and without direct supervision

The Internship

The focus of the work of this intern will be creating short videos and social media posts about aspects of the Local Peace Economy. The intern could be based anywhere in the world and have flexible hours every week, but must be available during some working hours in the US Eastern time zone. Beginning and ending dates for the internship can be flexible and will be individually negotiated. 


Location

The internship is remote, but the successful candidate will be able to work with team members based in US Eastern timezone.


Commitment

15 hours per week.


Compensation & Credit

This position is unpaid. We strongly encourage applicants to seek credit or funding from their university.
