The 29th US-Cuba Pastors-for-Peace National Friendship Caravan is coming to Ithaca! Join CODEPINK next Monday to learn about exciting people-to-people cultural and educational exchange projects in Cuba, US-Cuba relations, the Cuban health care system and much more.

The award-winning 30-minute documentary Dare to Dream will be shown. Dare to Dream tells the story of the largest medical school in the world, the Latin American School of Medicine (ELAM) in Havana, Cuba. Following the film, Cheryl LaBash, Co-Chair of National Network on Cuba, will speak about Cuban health care, the Cuba Caravan and US-Cuba Relations.

Authentic delicious Cuban food will be served by local Chef Roy Josef (vegan/vegetarian options included). Live Cuban music will be provided by Jonathan Kline, Dan Zakalik and Genji Onishi, as well as DJ music by DJ Michael Luis. Later in the evening, you will have the opportunity to learn Salsa en Rueda de Casino and dance for as long as you wish into the night.

8:30PM DARE TO DREAM Documentary by Jennifer Wager
This 30-minute movie tells the story of the largest medical school in the world, the Latin American School of Medicine (ELAM) in Havana, Cuba. Through the stories of ELAM graduates from the US who received full scholarships from the Cuban government, we learn how ELAM is revolutionizing health care on a global level.
