Despite talk of cutting government waste, DOGE has yet to slash the bloated $900 billion Pentagon budget. Surely, mega-billionaire Elon Musk and his 20-something techies know the DOD has failed seven straight audits and is ripe for the gutting. Will Musk’s $40 billion in surveillance and war contracts dissuade him from touching the Pentagon purse? —Or will he surprise us by closing military bases and cutting the nuclear rearmament program – all in keeping with his co-President Donald Trump’s isolationist chest-beating and stated desire for denuclearization?
Join us as we talk to a once-Pentagon insider about his wish list for Pentagon cuts, Musk mania, and the current mood in the military.
