CODEPINK organizers to CRASH two GOP parties at 4 p.m. today in St. Paul

CODEPINK organizers have just planned to CRASH and PROTEST two GOP parties at 4 p.m. today in St. Paul

*We will crash the "Celebration of Free Speech" reception sponsored by the Association of Broadcasters at the University Club lobby, at 420 Summit Ave in St. Paul. This event is ludicrous and hypocritical, as Republicans here and the entire RNC have proven they fail to honor free speech in light of 280 arrests of demonstrators within the past 24 hours, including one of our own. And last night, 10 of our members were surrounded by police during a peaceful banner protest in St. Paul. "No Free Speech at the RNC!"

* We will also crash a "Life of the Party" party, sponsored by Phyllis Schalfly, at the Crowne Plaze at 11 Kellogg Rd. Sarah Palin will be there and Sarah Palin is NOT a woman's choice! She does not represent the interests of women and we will raise our voices and banners against her!

And at 7:30 p.m., CODEPINK and other activist groups Courage to Resist, Global Exchange, Oil Change USA, Rainforest Action Network and the Ronald Reagan Home for the Criminally Insane will host the first of two "rallies" in "support" of Big Oil's in-bed relationship with the Republicans. We'll be outside a GOP party at Epic Entertainment, at 510 1st Ave. N Minneapolis, sponsored by the American Petroleum Institute. We'll be Republican "delegates" wearing "Freedom Flags" (or oil company logos) and yellow "Support Our Oil Companies" ribbons will be rolling around in the millions of "Oily Dollars" given back to Republican candidates.
