Biden First 100 Days: CODEPINK Poll

President Biden has officially been in office for 100 Days. At this critical juncture, we want to know what you think!

How would you grade President Biden’s performance on foreign policy so far? After we hear from CODEPINK members, we’ll release a final Biden report card and GPA, grading the President on important components of his Foreign Policy. We’ll also release recommendations for how Biden can improve his grades before the end of his term!

  1. President Biden released a proposal for a $753 billion military budget, a $13 billion increase from FY2021, which includes money to build NEW nuclear weapons. His Administration has used incendiary rhetoric and potential for military conflict against China and Russia as justification to increase the Pentagon budget.

  3. President Biden refuses to lift thousands of onerous sanctions on countries including Iran, Venezuela, Nicaragua, North Korea and Syria that are impeding importation of food and COVID relief to ordinary people.

  5. President Biden does not support the TRIPS waiver, which would allow countries to locally manufacture COVID-19 vaccines. The Administration also refuses to roll back Trump’s sanctions and blockade of Cuba. He has also continued the failed Trump policy of recognizing the unelected Juan Guaido as interim President of Venezuela to undermine the government of twice-elected President Maduro.

  7. Despite his announcement that the U.S. would no longer support the war on Yemen, his Administration authorized massive weapons sales to the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

  9. President Biden has continued unconditional support to Israel, despite growing calls for an even-handed policy that places conditions on US aid to Israel and recognizes the rights of Palestinians.

Biden deserves a [insert grade] on foreign policy for his first 100 days in office because he proposed a $13 billion increase in military spending amidst COVID & climate chaos. Seriously, @POTUS? Militarism will only make things worse. @CODEPINK https://www.codepink.org/bidenpoll

I’m giving @POTUS a [insert grade] on foreign policy for his first 100 days in office because he's yet to withdraw support for the Saudi-led blockade that threatens the lives of 400,000 Yemeni children. What grade would you give him? @CODEPINK https://www.codepink.org/bidenpoll

Biden deserves a [insert grade] on foreign policy for his first 100 days in office because he's trying to waste $1.7 trillion on a “nuclear modernization plan" that only further endangers humanity. What grade would you give @POTUS? @CODEPINK https://www.codepink.org/bidenpoll

I’m giving @POTUS a [insert grade] on foreign policy for his first 100 days in office because he continues to recognize imperialist Guaidó as interim pres of VE. If Biden did his homework, he'd know that US intervention ≠ democracy. @CODEPINK https://www.codepink.org/bidenpoll

.@POTUS gets a [insert grade] on foreign policy for his first 100 days because, despite promising to end support for the war on Yemen, he’d still rather make a killing on killing Yemenis than lose a $23 billion weapons deal w/ the UAE. @CODEPINK https://www.codepink.org/bidenpoll

I'm giving @POTUS a [insert grade] on foreign policy for his first 100 days because his admin continues to escalate conflict with China & Russia rather than work to tackle COVID-19 & the climate crisis. How would you grade him? @CODEPINK https://www.codepink.org/bidenpoll

.@JoeBiden may have restored aid to Palestine, but his administration continues to support Israeli occupation. If @POTUS doesn't want to flunk foreign policy in my gradebook, he must stop supporting Israeli crimes. @CODEPINK https://www.codepink.org/bidenpoll
