Biden First 100 Days: CODEPINK Poll

President Biden has officially been in office for 100 Days. At this critical juncture, we want to know what you think!

How would you grade President Biden’s performance on foreign policy so far? After we hear from CODEPINK members, we’ll release a final Biden report card and GPA, grading the President on important components of his Foreign Policy. We’ll also release recommendations for how Biden can improve his grades before the end of his term!

  1. President Biden released a proposal for a $753 billion military budget, a $13 billion increase from FY2021, which includes money to build NEW nuclear weapons. His Administration has used incendiary rhetoric and potential for military conflict against China and Russia as justification to increase the Pentagon budget.

  2. survey software

  3. President Biden refuses to lift thousands of onerous sanctions on countries including Iran, Venezuela, Nicaragua, North Korea and Syria that are impeding importation of food and COVID relief to ordinary people.

  4. web polls

  5. President Biden does not support the TRIPS waiver, which would allow countries to locally manufacture COVID-19 vaccines. The Administration also refuses to roll back Trump’s sanctions and blockade of Cuba. He has also continued the failed Trump policy of recognizing the unelected Juan Guaido as interim President of Venezuela to undermine the government of twice-elected President Maduro.

  6. find bike trails

  7. Despite his announcement that the U.S. would no longer support the war on Yemen, his Administration authorized massive weapons sales to the UAE and Saudi Arabia.

  8. bike trails

  9. President Biden has continued unconditional support to Israel, despite growing calls for an even-handed policy that places conditions on US aid to Israel and recognizes the rights of Palestinians.

Biden deserves a [insert grade] on foreign policy for his first 100 days in office because he proposed a $13 billion increase in military spending amidst COVID & climate chaos. Seriously, @POTUS? Militarism will only make things worse. @CODEPINK https://www.codepink.org/bidenpoll

I’m giving @POTUS a [insert grade] on foreign policy for his first 100 days in office because he's yet to withdraw support for the Saudi-led blockade that threatens the lives of 400,000 Yemeni children. What grade would you give him? @CODEPINK https://www.codepink.org/bidenpoll

Biden deserves a [insert grade] on foreign policy for his first 100 days in office because he's trying to waste $1.7 trillion on a “nuclear modernization plan" that only further endangers humanity. What grade would you give @POTUS? @CODEPINK https://www.codepink.org/bidenpoll

I’m giving @POTUS a [insert grade] on foreign policy for his first 100 days in office because he continues to recognize imperialist Guaidó as interim pres of VE. If Biden did his homework, he'd know that US intervention ≠ democracy. @CODEPINK https://www.codepink.org/bidenpoll

[email protected] gets a [insert grade] on foreign policy for his first 100 days because, despite promising to end support for the war on Yemen, he’d still rather make a killing on killing Yemenis than lose a $23 billion weapons deal w/ the UAE. @CODEPINK https://www.codepink.org/bidenpoll

I'm giving @POTUS a [insert grade] on foreign policy for his first 100 days because his admin continues to escalate conflict with China & Russia rather than work to tackle COVID-19 & the climate crisis. How would you grade him? @CODEPINK https://www.codepink.org/bidenpoll

[email protected] may have restored aid to Palestine, but his administration continues to support Israeli occupation. If @POTUS doesn't want to flunk foreign policy in my gradebook, he must stop supporting Israeli crimes. @CODEPINK https://www.codepink.org/bidenpoll

Yes, that is sooo true. Unfortunately President Biden is a Zionist puppet for Israel. Which is Part of the Rothschild/Rockefeller consortium. If he recognized what Turkey did to the Armenian people, which was nothing but a massive slaughter of human life. Why can’t he recognize the massive slaughter of The Palestinian people in 1948 and is STILL GOING ON TO THIS DAY!!!!! WAKE UP PRESIDENT BIDEN, AND SMELL THE COFFEE!!! FREE PALESTINE!!!

Also, he just recognized Turkeys genocide as genocide, but why can’t he recognize our genocide of helping the Indonesian military kill 1,000,000 innocent suspected leftists in one year in the 60s?

Yep, pretty abysmal foreign policy so far. The biggie to me was continuing harmful sanctions and blockade against Cuba. Also not admitting his role in destabilizing Central America for profit (and looking at you Hillary for the Zelaya Honduras coup). When he said migrations to US were caused only by hurricanes and earthquakes, and not his policy for mass privatization, I chuckled sadly.

But hey, he’s a liberal so it’s ok because he “listens to science”. "Anything is better than Trump, right? " – will be the excuse we hear from status quo supporters for the next 8 years.

So long as Biden views himself as a Zionist, he will be a failure (IMO) in foreign policy. Joe is nothing but another governor of the US colony of the Rothschilds/ZioNazism which was spawned on November 22, 1963.

Biden’s presidency is like continuation of Trump’s presidency in terms of Iran, Cuba, China, Israel, Palestine. Israel make decisions on American foreign policy, period. One day Americans will get the full consequences of its 200+ years aggression.

What can anyone expect from someone who vote for the war with Iraq? He speaks the well crafted words of the Empire’s party of war and still does nothing to close GITMO or reduce our nuclear Arsenal…it doesn’t matter how diverse a Cabinet he might staff, if they all believe in the mass murder of war and sanctions how can we have peace?

I gave straight F’s on this report card for Biden because the “subjects” listed are exclusively his evident failures. They are all a continuation of previous Administrations’ failed policies.

In Biden’s favor, however, it should be noted, as CodePink did in the newsletter accompanying the report card, that he has at least had the merit of “extending the US-Russia START treaty another five years, rejoining the Paris Climate Agreement, lifting sanctions Trump had imposed on International Criminal Court officials, and restoring aid to the dispossessed Palestinians.” Now that’s welcome new music!

But, as Mark Burgess notes in his comment to the report card, Biden could have used his executive power IMMEDIATELY to do a lot more, so his overall performance so far still remains highly unsatisfactory. “Immediately” means with the stroke of a pen and at zero cost — for example, by pardoning Assange and Snowden. But so far not a word. Will he do any of the other things that Mark Burgess lists? Let’s all support the CodePink initiatives to urge him to do so!!!

A return to the same tired old neoliberal policies that throw crumbs to the people domestically while trampling human rights around the world for the sake of US weapons manufacturers’ profits is not acceptable or new.

Biden can use his overpowered executive branch (given to him by Congress/Senate/SCOTUS over the centuries of our history) to solve everything within a week if not overnight if he wanted to. Biden can call 100% of our military home and convert them as National Guard, direct them & The Military Industrial Complex to use the Defense Production Act to build hospitals, medical equipment, vaccines and PPE on a massive scale. He can use the emergency provision of ObamaCare that gives everyone Medicare in an emergency (if a Pandemic & a huge segment of people dying due to lack of access to healthcare before the pandemic isn’t an emergency, I don’t know what is). Biden can direct the FED to cancel all debt for people who have less than $1 Million (money owed would stop once people get under that dollar amount), and direct then to pay a living wage to everyone via quantitative easing. Because he isn’t doing all of this in addition to reversing Trumps policies (even going against his predecessor by going after Julian Assange), his grade is so low it doesn’t even register as a letter of the alphabet (but I had to pick one so I went with F across the board).
