We ask Bernie Sanders to reject AIPAC's invitation to participate in their 2016 Policy Conference in Washington DC. AIPAC promotes Israeli settlements in direct opposition to international law. They lobby for billions of dollars in US military aid to Israel to the detriment of needs at home. During the passage of the 2015 Iran deal, AIPAC pushed for military confrontation, rather than diplomacy. They author and promote legislation to stifle free speech in the form of boycotts and pressure the US to act as a pariah in the United Nations. AIPAC is the antithesis to Bernie Sanders recent statement that he will aim for a "level playing field" on Israel-Palestine. We urge Bernie Sanders to act on behalf of peace and equality and reject AIPAC's invitation to participate in their conference.
