During the last month, over 50 Palestinians have been killed, 2,000 have been injured and over 600 imprisoned by the Israeli Occupation Forces. Many of those killed, injured or imprisoned have been children. Israeli soldiers are a symbol of violence and fear for Palestinians living under occupation, many of whom have lost their homes and been victims of violence at the hands of soldiers. If you’re outraged that companies like Amazon are selling Israeli Soldier Halloween costumes for children, sign the petition!

We strongly condemn the decision of your company to sell an “Israeli Soldier Costume for Kids.” In the last week, Walmart has withdrawn these terrible and discriminatory costumes, and we are calling on you to do the same!
The Israeli forces are a symbol of violence and fear for Palestinians living under occupation, who have lost their homes and been victims of violence at the hands of Israeli soldiers. A symbol of fear, violence and a long history of repression should not be used for entertainment purposes. Israeli soldier costumes are highly offensive to Arab-Americans, particularly those who have had family members, including children, injured or killed by Israeli soldiers.
Not only is this offensive, but selling racist costumes affirms and normalizes racism against Arab-Americans. For these reasons, we call on you to drop the costume from your website, like Walmart did this week.
