On August 22, 2011, San Francisco CODEPINK held a fundraiser in honor of the new book Transforming Terror: Remembering the Soul of the World. The event featured the editors and several contributors to Transforming Terror, including Jodie Evans (co-founder of CODEPINK), Daniel Ellsberg, Susan Griffin, Rebecca Solnit, and others. Chronicle Books provided a beautiful and unique atmosphere for CODEPINK supporters to enjoy delicious refreshments and each other's company. Our featured speakers gave us many fascinating insights into the origins of the US' response to 9/11. The Q&A that followed their presentations was lively and informative. We were delighted to have spent this evening together. Thank you to our generous volunteers and supporters! |
