CODEPINK continues to bring their peaceful, creative pressure of stopping war on this final convention day....
At 2:30 p.m., CODEPINK members will dress up like waitresses and "cook up" peace and highlight how McCain would "cook up another war" in Landmark Plaza of downtown St. Paul, where four CODEPINK women were arrested yesterday during a peaceful protest. It'll be creative, fun and pink!
At 4:15 p.m., after a quick costume change, we'll travel to Seven Corners (7th and Chestnut Sts. in downtown St. Paul) where we'll be the "pink police" traffic cops guiding delegates to "yield" to peace and "stop" war!
About 6:15 p.m., CODEPINK members will join members of other groups to form a peaceful aerial image in Harriet Island Park, in St. Paul. By laying on the grass, they will form an enormous peace sign. This image will be a beautiful symbol of hope and change, like the majority of protests this week -- in contrast to the incidents of violence against demonstrators and the city's assault on free speech. The aerial image will look similar to the powerful "Make Out Not War" image CODEPINK and friends created at the Democratic National Convention, covered here on the Huffington Post. It may be canceled if there's rain (please call to confirm if it's drizzly).
