JVP-DC Metro invites you to a free screening and discussion of “Al Helm: Martin Luther King in Palestine” by award-winning filmmaker, Connie Fields

The film is about an African-American gospel choir that travels to the Occupied Palestinian Territories to sing in a play about Martin Luther King Jr. During their visit, the director of the Jenin Freedom Dream Theater is assassinated on the anniversary of MLK’s death, sending shock-waves throughout Palestine and Israel.
