President Obama: Close Guantanamo Prison

If you oppose the continuing operation of Guantanamo prison on the US naval base, and want to demand the land be returned to the Cuban people, sign our petition!

President Obama--

When you first ran for office, you recognized that the Guantanamo prison was unjust, and you promised to close it. We urge you fulfill this promise by issuing an executive order to close the prison. Also while we appreciate the efforts you have made to normalize relations with Cuba, if you are truly interested in establishing meaningful diplomatic relations you must return the base to the Cuban people.

Signed,

    Dear Mr. Obama,

aside from this petition, I am astonished how you can, with a quiet conscience, sign lists of people who are then, by your command, allowed to be killed anywhere on earth without a proper trial, without any trial at all. (This is what I heard at least.) I am sure you know how many innocent people are killed along with those SUSPECTED terrorists. I am also quite confident that you know how drone operations and other forms of Western terrorism (yes, it is terrorism, just look at how terrorism is officially defined and how this definition applies to the people above whose heads your killer drones are wheeling) contribute to the radicalization of otherwise peaceful humans who join terrorist groups just out of desparation. I dearly hope that you at least think of all this while signing the next death list and while not stopping Western terrorism each second of your presidency.

I wish you the strength to act more ethically in the future and to be worth the Nobel Prize of Peace that was given to you. So far you are, in my view, clearly not.
