Matter of Fact!

Matter is

neither Created…

…nor Destroyed

Wonder What Matters?

‘"Nothing could be simpler"

seek words as solace
speak words as inspirational communication
sing words as praise
print words as healing
phrasing designed to evoke emotion

Light & Dark
Soft & Green
Fruition of vocal chords
manifestations of neurons
synaptic chemical messengers

rhythm of sine waves
falling water
leaves underfoot
varied thrush song
not for itself

but for nuance of relationship
grace speaks a kinetic idiom
lichen a dialectic question

our naivety howls

deafening sensitive fungus
black oaks bristle
as parent rocks
communicate volumes
to soil children

regarding maturation
progression of process
braided stream bed
brush strokes of erosion
undulatory displays

canvas frame
hewn by time
moss and liverworts
conifer silhouettes’
cast no shadows of doubt

these acts of community
attentive to microscopic detail
playout with cosmic proportions
while we argue about our
insecurities
