We are well known for our protests. From flashy banners in the streets to exerting high pressure in the halls of Congress, CODEPINK is synonymous with bold, creative direct action. While we have been leading protests outside the halls of power, we have also been spending an enormous amount of time inside the halls of Congress to advance our call for peace and justice. It is this inside-outside strategy that makes us so effective and gives us hope and determination for the coming year.

You have seen us protesting Saudi Arabia for its brutal assault on Yemen at every turn. Our work includes collaborating with a coalition to pressure Congress to pass legislation ending U.S. weapons sales to Saudi Arabia. In 2017, we brought delegations to Cuba, South Korea and Palestine. We also helped get the largest number of signatures ever on a congressional letter for Palestinian rights. We are going into the new year advancing legislation to end Israel’s military detention of Palestinian children.

We’ve got a busy year ahead of us. With Trump continuing to threaten North Korea and Iran and planning to move the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem, we have our work cut out for us. We will spend 2018 working inside the system and out in the streets. As always, we will be bright and colorful and optimistic.
Thank you for all your support.
