Tell Congress No $54 Billion for War!

To Congress,

We urge you to oppose President Trumps proposal to boost Pentagon spending by $54 billion in the next fiscal year. President Trump’s proposed massive increase in military spending would come at the expense of foreign aid, the Environmental Protection Agency, the US State Department, and more. We need schools, health care, green jobs, and diplomacy, not more tanks, warships, and nuclear weapons!

Sincerely,

If President Trump is serious about not getting involved in foreign wars, no increase is needed in defense spending. The defense budget already takes a disproportionate share of tax revenue.

Our industrial military complex is delivering misery, death and destruction to our brothers and sisters across the globe for profit with the pretense of spreading democracy. Our future is with our children.

War is not waged for “national security.” It is ONLY waged for economic interests.

Wars don’t win; no matter what they are fighting. How about a Department of Peace??

This is a money give-away to corporations. We need this money in public grants and programs and not in the pockets of wealthy.

    To Members of Congress,

I urge you to oppose Donald Trump’s proposal to increase the Pentagon budget by 54 million in the next fiscal year. We need better schools, health care for all, clean environment, green jobs; not tanks, military aircraft, drones, warships and nuclear weapons. We want and need a safe world.

    Sincerely,

    Gulnar Husain

As our military continues to fight very harmful, unnecessary wars, and to kill hundreds of civilians in the process, we must fund humanitarian needs, not military ones.

Pentagon spending is already a huge part of the budget. Instead of increasing it, we need to spend money on environmental, foreign aid, the state department, health care, etc.
