Join CODEPINK this Wednesday in Washington, DC to call for the release of Palestinian youth activist Ahed Tamimi and all Palestinian prisoners. Israeli forces arrested Ahed on December 19, 2017. A court has since leveled 12 charges against the 16-year-old. She faces years in prison. The war waged on Ahed and the Palestinian people must stop!
- What: Rally to Free Ahed Tamimi and All Palestinian Prisoners
- When: Wednesday, January 10, 2018
- Where: 5:15pm Union Station, 50 Massachusetts Ave NE, Washington DC 20002
- Facebook event
US tax dollars bankroll the Israeli occupation to the tune of $3.8 billion a year. These funds enable Israel to administer a military court system that convicts Palestinians at a rate of 99.7 percent. Israel is the only country in the world that systematically subjects children like Ahed to its military courts. As a step toward ending the occupation and its indiscriminate human rights violations, Israel must free Ahed and all other Palestinian prisoners.
On Wednesday, join CODEPINK, American Muslims for Palestine and Jewish Voices for Peace – DC Metro at Union Station to rally for Ahed’s release. During the event, we will write letters to Ahed in prison. If you haven’t done so yet, sign the petition to free Ahed now!
Towards peace and in solidarity,
Ariel, Brienne, Elliot, Medea, Molly and Tighe
