Dear Activist,

Join CODEPINK Dallas on Wednesday, February 4th to oppose the execution of Donald Keith Newbury. Newbury’s sentence is the third this year in Texas and we need to raise our voices to call for the end of this inhumane punishment. While the death penalty is at an all-time low in the United States, Texas still has an astronomical fifteen executions planned from January through May alone.

CODEPINK Dallas, along with other anti-death penalty activist groups, is committed to the sustained effort of protesting whenever the state schedules an execution. Join us and denounce these brutal methods for achieving “justice.” The demonstration will include a light display, so we ask that you please wear dark colors.

>When: 6:00pm, Wednesday February 4th, 2015 RSVP here!

>Where: Mockingbird Bridge at Central Expressway

Join us again for the Bush ACCOUNTABIL-ATHON in Dallas from February 5th - 7th! We will protest at all three of former president George Bush’s speeches. As the commander-in-chief, former President Bush orchestrated the Iraq War from 2003 - 2011. This war led to the death of thousands of US troops and hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civilians. Despite this, Bush is normally paid over $100,000 for for speeches. RSVP and Join the Dallas CODEPINK Team to show that war criminals must be held accountable, not glorified and honored.
