Divest for Justice, Invest for Impact - Community Forum & Workshop

Join the Green Party of Santa Clara County as we host a Divest for Justice, Invest for Impact Community Forum and Workshop. Speakers will include representatives from local and national groups focused on intersectional divestment campaigns and community investment. The discussion will focus on successes, lessons learned and outreach strategies and tactics by various on-going campaigns. We will address the importance and challenges of collaboration across divestment movements and how to focus as a community on our mutual goals for social and environmental justice. This event is inspired by Code Pink's newest campaign to Divest from the War Machine

A workshop will walk-through divestment options, offer a context for local community investment and provide an opportunity for both short and long-term local campaigns to discuss options at the municipal, State, National and Corporate levels.

The Green Party built on Eco-Socialism, is a key advocate for divestment as a tool for justice and individual empowerment through community engagement in progressive causes locally and nationally. We invite you to join us in our Divest for Justice work.
Co-sponsors include: CodePink, De Anza College's Vasconcellos Institute for Democracy in Action,
San Jose Peace and Justice Center, Rise Up For Justice, and more.
