Join us as we come together to learn how to divest from the war economy, and build our local peace economy through collective healing!

NOVEMBER LOCAL PEACE ECONOMY GATHERING

Join us for a restorative evening of healing & health-consciousness! Karen Sperling will offer a healing session to help us shift and transform our individual and collective energies, and move with ease through our actions. After that, Sonia Barrett will screen her documentary "The Business of Disease," a film about the harmful marketing tactics around disease and pharmaceuticals, and then open space to discuss how we can support each other and change the systems to become healthier individuals and communities. This will be a potluck, so bring enough food to share.

When: Sunday, November 19th from 4:30 pm–8:00 pm
Where: Venice, CA
RSVP for the address and email Mariana with any questions

SCREENING OF SHADOW WORLD

As Shadow World: Inside the Global Arms Trade airs on PBS the same evening, we will hold an early screening of the film in Venice at 7:30 pm. Based on Andrew Feinstein's book of the same name, this documentary explores the international arms trade and the lies and greed that drive the sale of weapons worldwide. We will provide drinks, but please bring dessert for everyone to share.

When: Monday, November 20th at 7:30 pm
Where: Venice, CA
RSVP for the address by Monday morning, and email Taylor with any questions

In peace & solidarity,
Jodie, Mariana, Mark, Mary and Taylor

1 Can we organize ourselves and find a large group of women who will go to north Korea ? Meet with South Korean women and go on to meet with North Korean women in the demilliterized zone. and hope we can meet eventually together in North Korea. If we can not speak each others Language then we can at least sing and dance together…..

2 Can we get a large group of women to write letters to women that live in North Korea
