Block the Boat is proving to be one of the most exciting and effective methods of BDS so far, with estimates that a few hours of delay could cause the Israeli owned ZIM cargo company millions of dollars.
Join CODEPINK and the Block the Boat Coalition on Saturday, October 18 at 6:00 a.m. to block the last Zim ship of 2014 at our own Port of Los Angeles.
We will be gathering at the intersection of Pier A Way and Pier A Plaza.
Street Parking available a few blocks North near the intersection of Henry Ford Ave. and Anaheim St. Streets to look for include I street, Opp Street and Grant, all north of Anaheim.
There will be cars available to shuttle people from the parking lot of Jim's Burgers, located at 1601 E. Anaheim Street, just west of Henry Ford Ave.
All attendees are expected to abide by the following action guidelines:
● Any hostility or aggressive behavior towards port personnel or in general is not accepted.
● Palestine-related posters/flags, a black/green/red-shirt attire, and a compassionate/inspiring attitude are encouraged.
● Fliers and chant sheets will be provided at action.
