US Senate: Don't let neocon Elliott Abrams become Deputy Secretary of State
Elliott Abrams is a neoconservative who championed the Iraq war under President Bush and helped cover up gross human rights abuses by the governments of Guatemala and El Salvador under President Regan. In 1991, Abrams was convicted of lying to Congress about the Iran-Contra affair. He is not fit to be Deputy Secretary of State. Please oppose his nomination to be number two in the US the State Department.
